MORETTI GLASS RODS

Murano glass rods can be transparent or opalescent.

Reaching a melting point of 470°C (878°F), they have a thermal expansion coefficient α (0 ÷ 300°C) = 104 ± 1.5°C-1 10­-7.

They are also used for glass fusing. In mosaics, however, they are cut with wheeled pliers, just like millefiori murrine. They are available in a variety of diameters. On these pages, we offer rods with a diameter of 5-6 mm and a length of 33 cm.
