Tarlatan cloth, also called velatino, is a light gauze used in the indirect method.
It is glued onto the tiles to remove them from their lime bed.
The tiles are glued onto the canvas using flour glue (see the binders and glues category).
It is applied over a layer of Mapei IP 10 or Kerabond. Finally, the mesh is removed and any glue residue is cleaned from the tiles.
Areas of use also for engraving, restoration, binding and fresco, scenography and theatre.
Dimensions 120x100 cm.
